Work for Saga as a carer
We cover selected areas in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Middlesex
Permanent part-time & live-in contracts available
At Saga we take great pride in helping our clients stay independent while still getting the support they need. Whether it’s shopping, meeting friends, companionship, providing a hand with housework, assisting with medication, cooking or providing personal care, as a Saga Carer you will support our clients’ individual needs.
Our Carers are known for their compassion and empathy and for always going the extra mile to provide the best quality care. We can offer all our carers permanent positions rather than zero hour contracts (and no 15 minute calls) which enables them to build relationships and provide our clients’ with person centred care.
If your passion for care is what gets you out of bed in the morning and you want to make a difference to the health and well-being of our clients then look no further, this is the job for you!
As a Saga Visiting Carer you will need a full UK driving licence with your own vehicle to visit your clients. You must be available to work a range of times between 7am and 10pm and alternate weekends.
As a Saga Live-in Carer you will live in the client’s home for 2 weeks at a time (length of assignment can vary).
As well as offering a great starting salary of £17,940 pro rata [up to £650 per week for a live-in assignment], we offer a great range of benefits that you would expect from one of the UK’s market leading provider of services to the over 50’s.
When you work with us you will get a shiny new iPad, a Saga branded uniform, pension scheme, generous paid mileage along with paid travel time, free DBS check, support from a Registered Nurse whilst you are out in the field and of course holiday pay plus many more.
Saga offers our carers a 5 day paid Induction course towards the Care Certificate which provides the skills and knowledge needed to deliver a high quality service in a caring way. Saga also provides ongoing refresher courses as well as the opportunity of completing a Health and Social Care QCF.
If you already hold an Enhanced Adult workforce DBS on the update service, let us know and we can fast-track your application.
