Cover for cancer

Our Saga HealthPlan Super and Saver Plus policies provide good all-round cover for cancer, including access to drugs such as Herceptin and Avastin.

Being diagnosed with cancer can be a very frightening experience, creating anxiety about forthcoming treatments and how to cope with home and family life.

For this reason, we offer you the services of an experienced 'dedicated nurse', who is able to provide one-to-one support and guidance about the condition and recovery.

They can explain what the treatment options are and offer advice on the information and support services available to you.  They also understand that sometimes you simply need emotional support - and this, too, is just a phone call away.

Extended Cancer Cover

We have now introduced optional Extended Cancer Cover, which for a small additional premium, can be added to Saga HealthPlan Super and Saver Plus, to provide even greater reassurance.

It means there is no time limit on the use of drug treatments that are available for cancer, and also provides additional cover for experimental cancer treatments, as long as they are part of an ethically approved trial; and treatment to prevent the recurrence of cancer or the maintenance of remission.
