  • Use a sheet of grease proof paper as a base in your cupboards. The paper will protect the wood from any spillages of jam or oil
  • Attempting to end each day with a clean kitchen should help motivate you to tidy up every evening to stop the mess ever growing to be too great
  • Washing up utensils as you go can save you having to do it all at the end
  • A clean, organised refrigerator is always more appealing - try to clean it every 7 to 14 days. Remove the contents and wipe down the surfaces with warm, soapy water. Throw away any food that might have gone off
  • Keep your refrigerator smelling nice by placing a container of baking soda inside
  • Bizarrely, an apple placed in a bag of potatoes will stop the potatoes from budding.
