We launch our new Menopause policy
In celebration of International Women’s Day – and following feedback from our attendees at last year’s Gender Inclusion Forum – we proudly launched our Menopause Policy earlier this year.
Having a policy in place to support those experiencing menopause is certainly a great step. But it’s really important that we carry on being curious about this subject to make sure we’re all clued-up on the symptoms, the impact and the effects on women – both in the workplace and at home too.
In April, we hosted award-winning nutritionist, author and leading expert on women’s health and hormones, Nicki Williams, who joined us for an hour long educational and inspirational Lunch & Learn session. She explained to us the signs and symptoms of menopause, who it affects, and how best to manage it in the workplace.Helen Webb, Chief Risk & Compliance Officer, commented “I was thrilled to be joined on the day by roughly 100 other colleagues – of all levels and genders, from across our business – for what I can only describe as a fantastic, insightful, inspiring and honest discussion on the impact of menopause and how we can support friends, family, colleagues and ourselves better. I left the session buzzing and feeling so empowered – and I know many of those that joined us felt the same too. The saying “knowledge is power” has never been more appropriate!”
We’ll ensure that all future Lunch & Learn sessions are uploaded to our Knowledge Library to help us stay better informed about the topics that really matter to our colleagues, customers and communities.
