345g, RRP: £5
Chunky fish fingers that went a lovely crunchy dark golden brown. The fish was full of flavour – flaky and white.
Don’t be put off by the ‘gluten free’ label or the price tag – these were hearty, top-notch fish fingers.
240g, RR: £4.25
We had high expectations for these and they didn’t disappoint. Tasty, flaky white fish with a deep cod aroma.
The breadcrumbs were very crispy, beautifully golden and full of seasoned flavour. Pricey but delicious.
300g, RRP: £4.25
Crunchy, nicely browned breadcrumbs albeit lacking somewhat in flavour. The fish, however was excellent - the large white flakes looked appetising and tasted succulent too. Expensive but will not disappoint!
300g, RRP: £2.25
Lightly golden in colour and pleasantly crispy, the breadcrumbs had a lovely flavour. The fish was succulent though it lacked the cod-rich flavour.
300g, RRP: £1.12
Substantial crispy golden breadcrumbs that were very flavoursome. The fish was flaky and mostly white although some had a tinge of grey. The cod taste was there but lacked real depth. However, pretty good all-rounders.
300g, RRP: £1.99
Crunchy breadcrumbs delivered satisfying flavour. The fish had a lovely whiteness but was dry and short of taste.
Perfectly palatable but nothing special.
300g, RRP: £1.99
The dark golden colour looked appetising but the taste did not live up to the look. The breadcrumbs did not crisp up evenly or deliver much flavour.
The cod did not provide any fishy depth and was a little grey.
300g, RRP: £1.99
Varied in size and shape. The breadcrumbs were low in flavour and seasoning, with a starchy aftertaste.
The fish was reconstituted – like a fishcake – not white, with little cod taste.
