Saga Mortgages Exclusive Conveyancing Promotion with Gen H Legal Terms and Conditions

Saga has partnered with specialist mortgage broker Tembo Money, and Gen H Legal to provide our customers with a reduced fee conveyancing service.
In these Terms and Conditions “we”, “us”, and “our” refers to Saga Mortgages provided by Tembo Money Ltd (”Tembo”) and “Generation Home Legal” and “Gen H Legal”, whilst “you” and “your” refers to our customers.
1.1 Saga Mortgages is offering our customers the ability to receive a discount on the cost of their legal fees of £250 plus VAT from Generation Home Legal when purchasing a property or if Gen H Legal is instructed to act on to sell a property and to purchase a property, the discount will apply to each transaction on completion, resulting in a total potential legal fee discount of £500 plus VAT.
1.2 This offer will commence on July 1st 2025. This constitutes a saving of up to £250 + VAT per property.
2.1 Customers must come to Gen H Legal via Tembo Money and the Saga Mortgages service, either via the digital fact find from the Saga website or an inbound call to Saga Mortgages.
2.2 Saga customers must be introduced to Gen H Legal services via Tembo Money through the steps outlined in section 4.1.
2.3 Saga customers must be over the age of 50 years old.
2.4 The conveyancing discount offered by Gen H Legal services only applies to a property sale or purchase transaction.
2.5 Tembo Money will obtain a quote from Gen H Legal services by submitting the Saga customers details, the customer will then receive an email containing the quote and that email contains a link to instruct Gen H Legal.
2.6 The offer is subject to a Saga Mortgages broker finding an eligible product that meets your circumstance
3.1 The offer is only available to Saga customers introduced to Gen H Legal via Tembo.
3.2 The exact fee required will be detailed in the quote provided by Gen H Legal.
3.3 The offer does not cover any other potential fees that may arise during the purchase or sale process, including but not limited to early repayment charges from the existing lender, valuation fees, or conveyancing costs.
3.4 All costs will be clearly detailed upon application of a quote.
3.5 If a property sale or purchase transaction falls through before completion, Gen H Legal will charge a legal fee that is a percentage of the total quoted fee based on the milestone reached in the transaction before it became abortive. In these circumstances, the discount will be applied pro rata. Discontinued charges sheet can be found on the Gen H Legal website.
3.6 Gen H Legal offers a failed transaction fixed fee guarantee at a cost of £175 plus VAT and legal fees (excluding any third party costs that have been incurred) will be capped at £175 plus VAT and is addition to the usual fee. This ensures that the legal fee is capped at this amount, whatever stage the transaction has reached in the event of failure. . If this option is taken then the discount would not apply and the milestone percentages do not apply. This offer is optional, and if taken, the fee of £175 plus VAT is in addition to the legal fee quoted.
3.7 Any request for a discount after completion of a transaction will be invalid.
4.1 To take advantage of the offer provided by Generation H Legal which is applicable to Saga customers introduced by Tembo Money, the following steps must be taken:

5.1 Saga Mortgages reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the offer at any time without prior notice.
5.2 The offer is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other benefits.
5.3 Saga Mortgages is not responsible for any delays or failures in processing applications due to circumstances beyond its control.
5.4 Participation in this offer is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
6.1 Tembo accepts no legal responsibility for any use of the Gen H Legal Promotion which breaches these terms or Tembo’s Terms of Business.
7.1 These terms and any dispute (including any non-contractual dispute) or claim coming out of or in connection with them or their subject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the law of England and Wales.
7.2 Each party forever agrees that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive authority to settle any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with this agreement or itssubject matter or formation (including non-contractual disputes or claims).
