Anne Robinson has exclusively confirmed to Saga Magazine that the rumours are true and she really is dating Andrew Parker Bowles.
In a candid interview for our June edition, the former ‘Weakest Link’ presenter confirmed in her true acerbic style, that she is dating Queen Camilla's ex-husband.
When asked if she’s really going out with him she replied, "Yes. Full Stop. Mind your own business.”
Retired Army brigadier Parker Bowles was once a dashing officer in the Royal Horse Guards and an inspiration for the character of the caddish Rupert Campbell-Black in Jilly Cooper’s racy book Riders. He lost his second wife Rosemary in 2010 and is now 84. Anne has been single since her divorce 17 years ago.
The couple, who both live in the Cotswolds, met more than a year ago at a lunch with friends, and despite the occasional rumours, they have kept their relationship secret ever since.
As Anne is joining us as our new agony aunt, she also talked about returning to the dating pool in her 70s after being single for 17 years.
“I’d been out of the game for so long,” she explained. “And also I don’t drink. If you don’t drink you’re not as reckless, are you?”
"I’d say that like everything else I’ve done, it’s always worth the risk. I’m a great believer in surprising yourself by taking risks. Personally and professionally.
"Nothing ventured, nothing gained. If the worst that can happen is you get some egg on your face, that’s not terrible is it?"
In her interview, Anne also went on to talk about her life, why she was so rude on The Weakest Link and what she does to stay in such great shape.
So what can readers expect from Saga Magazine’s new agony aunt?
“Maybe I’m going to take the agony out of aunt," she says. "I’m pragmatic. I will do this in my own style. I don’t like people who see themselves as victims.”
