Smoked salmon sharing platter with watercress and avocado

This smoked salmon sharing platter takes minutes to prepare and is a great buffet dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 side smoked salmon, D cut (sliced horizontally)
  • 1 x 85g bag watercress
  • 1 medium sized cucumber
  • 100g radishes
  • 1 avocado

For the dressing:

  • 2 tbsp crème fraiche
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • Salt to taste

Method

  1. First make the dressing by combining all ingredients in a small bowl and whisking together. Set aside while you prepare the rest of the ingredients.
  2. Next slice the cucumber in half lengthways and use a tea spoon to scoop out the seeds. Thinly slice the cucumber so that you get nice crescent-shaped pieces. Thinly slice the radish and avocado.
  3. Take a large slate or board and place the side of salmon on top one slice at a time, folding each slice to give the whole dish some height. Scatter over the watercress, cucumber and radish before drizzling with the dressing and serving to your guests. Bon appétit!

Notes

How to serve the smoked salmon sharing platter

Use any large, flat serving dish you have. A length of slate is ideal, but a silver tray, wooden board or large plate all work.

Salmon can be a bit messy so provide little dishes or side plates so your guests can scoop up the smoked salmon with a fork to eat at their leisure.
