Here are some of our most frequently asked questions about Saga Car Insurance.
No claims discount
The documents we accept for proof of no claims are:
- Renewal invitations
- Cancellation letters
- Proof of No Claims documents.
The full document must be in view from top to bottom and include the following:
- Company name/logo
- Your full name and address
- Expiry date of the policy
- No claims discount years
- Your vehicle registration.
Please be aware that we can only accept proof of no claims from within the last 2 years and you can only use your no claims discount on one vehicle at any time. If your proof is older than this or you are currently using your no claims discount on another vehicle, please call us on 0345 234 2239.
The quickest way to upload your proof is via your MySaga account. Log in to MySaga.
Making changes
You can make changes to your Saga Car Insurance policy by calling us on 0345 234 2239.
Unfortunately, we do not offer multi car policies. However, you can get a quote for a second vehicle.
No. If you need to make changes to your policy mid-term we won't charge you a fee.
Cancellations
To cancel your Saga Car Insurance policy, call us on 0345 234 2239.
You have 14 days from either the purchase date of the policy, or the date you receive the policy documentation (whichever is later) to cancel your cover. This is called the cooling off period.
During the cooling off period there is no administration fee for cancellation; after the cooling off period the cancellation fee is £50 for Saga Standard and Select. There are no cancellation charges for Saga Plus customers.
There is also a non-refundable set-up fee for Saga Standard, Select and Plus. Please be aware, if your cover has already started, you will be charged for the time on cover in addition to any applicable fees.
If you have purchased additional cover, you may be entitled to a full refund during the cooling off period provided no claims have been made. After the cooling off period, providing no claims have been made, you will only need to pay for the number of days you were covered.

As soon as your bank has notified us of the missed payment, we will let you know when we will try to collect payment again via your preferred delivery method.
If we were unable to collect this payment for the second time, you can pay your outstanding balance by calling us on 0345 234 2239.
