She is one of the UK’s most eminent actresses and now Saga Magazine readers have the chance to see Bafta- and Olivier Award winning performer Kristin Scott Thomas in one of the year’s most anticipated stage productions. The Four Weddings and a Funeral and Slow Horses star is joined by Stephen Mangan (Green Wing, The Split) for a major new adaptation of timeless classic The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov.

The production starts a strictly limited run at the Harold Pinter Theatre in London's West End for 14 weeks from 3 October 2026. Saga Magazine readers can enjoy a special matinee performance, including an exclusive meet and greet with a cast member, at 3.30pm on 9 December.

The Cherry Orchard was Russian playwright Chekhov’s final masterpiece and finds Lyubov Ranevskaya (Scott Thomas) returning to her childhood home after years abroad to find it and her beloved cherry orchard under threat. As a world of privilege tilts on its axis, can Lyubov adapt? It examines a life in transition and is as resonant today as it was when first performed in 1904, just months before Chekhov’s death at the age of 44.

The production is directed by Ian Rickson, former artistic director of the Royal Court from 1998 to 2006. He previously collaborated with Scott Thomas on his acclaimed version of Chekhov’s The Seagull, for which she won the Olivier Award for best actress.
