The queen of morning TV is the new host of Saga’s Experience is Everything podcast.
Saga’s podcast Experience is Everything returns for a third series on 1 September and we’re thrilled to announce that Lorraine Kelly is the new host.
Following in the footsteps of Susie Dent and the late Dame Jenni Murray, the 66-year-old TV host will be sitting down with household names and national treasures to discover the experiences that made them the people they are today.
“I’m so excited to be the new host of Experience is Everything because it gives me a chance to have in-depth conversations with people to find out what makes them tick and to really talk about their experience of life, no matter what it may be,” Lorraine says.
“Everybody has got a story to tell and I cannot wait to start the conversation. I’m going to be sitting down with amazing people and we’ll be talking about the experiences that actually matter and the ones that stay with you.”
Saga Magazine’s editor-in-chief Louise Robinson adds, “We are thrilled to introduce Lorraine as the new host of our Experience is Everything podcast. She’s a brilliant interviewer and is a great addition to the Saga family.”
Since launching at the end of last year, Saga’s Experience is Everything podcast has proved a huge success with more than 12 million total views on social media and almost 950k total views and listens.
Guests so far have included Paul Merton, Alex Kingston, Sir Trevor McDonald, Jane Horrocks, Johnny Ball and Elaine Paige. With Lorraine at the helm, we are excited to take the podcast to new heights.
To celebrate her new role, Lorriane sat down with Susie Dent – who stepped in to host the second series following the sad passing of Dame Jenni – for a special episode to tell her life story as well as talking about her excitement at joining the Saga family.
She opens up about how a world tragedy provided her with her big break, getting judged for being pregnant on TV, how she shaped up for her daughter’s wedding, her career highs and lows, and everything in between.
Listen to Lorraine’s episode with Susie. You can also catch up with previous episodes as well as our health editions with Dr Mark Porter.
