Spiced Iced Tea
Spiced iced tea, a non-alcoholic alternative to Long Island Iced Tea

This refreshing lightly spiced iced tea makes a refreshing drink during the height of summer.

  • 1 teabag (such as English breakfast)
  • Large pinch of ground cinnamon
  • Small pinch of ground allspice
  • Ice cubes
  • 15ml (½oz) lemon juice
  • 125ml (4oz/½ cup) ginger ale
  • Lemon slice

Place the teabag and spices in a mug and pour in 250ml (9oz/1 cup) boiling water.

Allow to cool, then put in the fridge until well chilled.

Pour the spiced tea into a large, tall glass over ice, then add the lemon juice and ginger ale.

Garnish with a slice of lemon.
