This is juice great for when you are full of cold – and if you‘re trying to keep vampires away! The garlic is raw, of course, so you might not want to drink this before a night out with friends!

Ingredients

  • 2 grapefruits
  • 1 lemon
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 cm/½ inch root ginger
  • 3–4 ice cubes, to serve (optional)

Method

Peel the grapefruits and the lemon, leaving the pith on both. Break them up or cut them into chunks and push them through the juicer. Peel the garlic clove and the chunk of ginger and add them both to the juicer.

When all the ingredients are juiced, give the juice a really good stir to combine all that good stuff, then pour into a glass. Pop in a straw, if you like, or perhaps a cube or two of ice.

Nutrients

Beta-carotene, folic acid, vitamin C; calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sulphur
