If the way to someone’s heart really is through their stomach, then these sweet treats are sure-fire winners this Valentine’s Day.
It's often said that the way to someone's heart is through their stomach. So why not give a foodie gift this Valentine's Day? We've got six of our favourites to help you say 'I love you' this year.
Hotel Chocolat, RRP: £49.95
Posh high-street chocolatier Hotel Chocolat has come up with a raft of gifts to mark this Valentine’s Day, from cute pink chocolate lovebirds (£9.95 for a box of 12) to little bags of passion fruit chocolate hearts (£5.45).
But who wants to stint when demonstrating how they feel about their true love? Which is why it’s worth going all-out with the showstopping Straight from the Heart box, packed with 35 mouthwatering creations. Just the thing to make anyone’s heart melt.
Neuhaus, RRP: £31.50
For Valentine’s Day 2026, chocolatier Neuhaus has brought in the expertise of Belgian chef Thierry Theys, and his wife and restaurant manager at the two-Michelin-starred restaurant Nuance, Sofie Willemarck. Together, they have developed Love Letter Box an exclusive new box of chocolates, inspired by their own relationship, featuring three different heart creations.
Thierry designed a dark chocolate heart combining crisp speculoos and hazelnut praline with a bright mandarin ganache, while Sofie’s milk chocolate heart boasts salted butter caramel and roasted almond praline flavours. Their joint creation is a raspberry, pecan and vanilla heart with a hint of chilli.
The chocolates come in packaging designed to look like an old-fashioned love letter.
Läderach, RRP: £35
Swiss chocolatier Läderach is capturing the spirit of romance for Valentine’s 2026 with its new Strawberry Marc de Champagne Pralines presented in a pink heart box.
Enrobed in dark chocolate and white strawberry chocolate, the 16 treats feature a silky Marc de Champagne and strawberry truffle filling – a decadent way to show someone how much they mean to you. And, if you get exceptionally lucky, the object of your affections might just offer you one of the chocolates, too.
Bettys, RRP: £14.25 (box of four)
For those strange folk who don’t like chocolate, good old Bettys – famous for their Yorkshire tea rooms – has the answer. Their dainty and elegant Fondant Fancies, festooned with cute sugar hearts, are ideal for a special Valentine’s tea.
Made from Genoese sponge cake and filled with a delicious buttercream and raspberry preserve, each is individually hand-iced and decorated. Put the kettle on and make a cuppa to seal the deal!
Not on the High Street, RRP: £25.99
Master of personalised gifts, online shop Not on the High Street has some beauties for Valentine’s Day, and its Personalised You Are Perfect, a box of 27 handmade chocolates from the team at Cocoapod, is surely one of the best. Spelling out the name of your beloved in chocolates demonstrates forethought and planning, and will, undoubtedly, win their heart when opened.
It's a great letterbox gift to send if you’re not able to be with your Valentine in person, and you can even add a personal message to a gift card that will be popped in with the chocs.
