1) The prize draw is for Saga customers who have a MySaga account giving them access to receive customer benefits (formerly Possibilities) except employees of the Promoter or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw. This prize draw excludes customers from Northern Ireland.
2) The prize draw is free to enter, and no purchase is necessary.
3) All entries must be submitted via www.saga.co.uk/benefits. Only one entry per customer is permitted.
4) The opening date for entries is 9am, Wednesday 13 January 2021. The closing date of the prize draw is 9am, Friday 26 February 2021. Entries received after this time will not be counted.
5) The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind.
6) Winners will be chosen by random draw supervised by an independent person on Monday 1 March 2021 (“Draw Date”).
7) Winners (5) will receive a free Saga Car policy, including European cover level of Saga Breakdown Assistance, up to the maximum value stated below. There is a total of five policies to give away. This offer is valid for customers in England, Wales and Scotland only.
8) If the winner chooses to receive a Saga Car policy, the following applies:
- The maximum value of the cover under this offer is £500 and does not include any mid-term adjustments.
- If the winner’s premium is more than £500, the difference must be funded by the winner.
- The persons and vehicle insured are subject to our normal acceptance criteria.
- The policy is subject to the terms and conditions found in the policy documents.
- The prize is for one policy year only.
- The offer is only available for policies covering the policyholder or policyholder and their spouse or partner. Named drivers may be added (subject to acceptance criteria) but this will incur an additional cost if doing so exceeds the prize value of £500.
- Additional cover options may be added but will incur an additional cost if the £500 maximum prize value is exceeded.
- Existing Saga Car cover level customers will be entitled to a free renewal up to the value of £500 for one year, subject to in material change in risk being accepted by the underwriters.
- New Saga Car cover level policies will be subject to relevant fixed-price terms and conditions; the price at the second and third year will not increase from the price the winner would have paid for the first-year’s policy (subject to no changes to risk, claims or Insurance Premium Tax). The winner can choose to pay for the policy from the second year or cancel the policy as required.
- The policy must be taken out within 12 months of being notified of the prize.
9) The winner will be notified by email or telephone (using details provided when signing up to receive customer benefits) before Tuesday 2 March 2021. If a winner does not respond to the Promoter within 5 days of being notified, then the winner’s prize will be forfeited, and the Promoter will be entitled to select another winner in accordance with the process described above.
10) The prize for the winner is non-exchangeable, non-transferable and no cash alternative is offered.
11) The prize is supplied by Saga Services Limited. The Promoter reserves the right to replace the prize with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control make it necessary to do so.
12) The decision of the Promoter regarding any aspect of the prize draw is final and binding, and no correspondence will be entered into about it.
13) Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions upon entry. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse entry or refuse to award the prize to anyone in breach of these terms and conditions.
14) The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, cancel, suspend or amend the promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
15) Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
16) Winners may be required to participate in publicity related to the prize draw which may include the publication of their name and photograph in any media.
17) Data protection. To enter the prize draw the Promoter requires the following information (“Personal Information”), which is processed on the basis of consent, which may be withdrawn at any time by contacting the promoter Saga Membership Limited of Enbrook Park, Sandgate, Folkestone, Kent, CT20 3SE:
- Full name; and
- Contact information including email and telephone number.
All Personal Information will be processed for the sole purposes of the prize draw which will include selecting and contacting the winners, entering participants into the prize draw, sharing the personal information with Saga Services Limited for the purposes of providing Saga Car cover up to £500, investigating any claims the Promoter believes may be fraudulent in nature and taking further actions such as legal proceedings where appropriate. Where Promoter may already possess the customer’s personal information, these terms apply only to the Personal Information collected solely for the purposes of the Prize Draw. For details of how the Promoter processes personal information generally, including data subject’s rights, please refer to the Promoter’s privacy policy which can be found at www.saga.co.uk/privacy-policy (“Privacy Policy”). The Personal Information will be kept securely and will be deleted or anonymised no later than 14 days after the Draw Date, when the winners have been announced and the prize fulfilled, except in the case of material prizes when the Personal Information of the winners will be kept for the duration of the prize period and any further information collected in relation to the prize by Saga Services Limited will be kept in line with the Privacy Policy. If the customer withdraws from the Prize Draw the Personal Information will be deleted immediately. The Promoter will contact the winners personally as soon as practicable after the Draw Date, using the telephone number or email address provided with the competition entry. The Promoter must either publish or make available information that indicates that a valid award took place. The winners’ names and county can be obtained by sending a stamped addressed envelope to: Saga Event Team, Saga Membership Limited, Enbrook Park, Sandgate, Folkestone, Kent, CT20 3SE, or alternatively by sending an email to eventsinfo@saga.co.uk within 15 working days of the Draw Date.
If you object to any or all details of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promoter at eventsinfo@saga.co.uk or Saga Membership Limited of Enbrook Park, Sandgate, Folkestone, Kent, CT20 3SE. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entries to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
18) The prize draw will be governed by English law and entrants to the prize draw submit to the jurisdiction of the English courts.
19) The Promoter of this prize draw and Data Controller is Saga Membership Limited of Enbrook Park, Sandgate, Folkestone, Kent, CT20 3SE.
