Plenty to discover

Maybe it’s time to recharge with a winter sun destination or keep it simple and visit family and friends in the UK. There are lots of beautiful places to discover either in distant lands or these wondrous isles that we call home.

Although there are ongoing changes and restrictions to consider, we are thankful that with health measures in place we can go away again. Vaccinations and boosters have given us greater freedom with about three-quarters (74.7%) of people aged 50 years and over having now received three vaccinations in England. Our understanding of the pandemic and its variants has also improved, allowing us to make informed choices and look forward to holiday bookings. Here are some things to consider before you go.

Travel checklist

  • Keep an eye on travel restrictions as they can change at any time
  • Pay attention to the entry requirements at your destination
  • Monitor news on UK local and national lockdowns
  • Fill out any online health control forms prior to travel
  • Review risk country lists as changes can be rapid.
