Kiwi Margarita

A delicious fruity twist on the classic tequila Margarita cocktail.

Kiwi Margarita

A fruity adaptation of the classic Margarita, traditionally made from tequila, Cointreau and lemon and lime juice.


  • Egg white
  • Caster (superfine) sugar
  • Crushed ice
  • 45ml (1½oz) tequila
  • 15ml (½oz) Cointreau
  • 15ml (½oz) melon liqueur (Midori)
  • 15ml (½oz) lemon juice
  • 1-2 kiwifruit, peeled and chopped
  • Kiwifruit slice, to serve


Dip the rim of a cocktail glass in a saucer of egg white, then a saucer of sugar, shaking off any excess. Chill.

Place the crushed ice, tequila, Cointreau, melon liqueur, lemon juice and kiwi in a blender and blend well. Pour into the sugar-frosted cocktail glass and garnish with a slice of kiwifruit.
