Exclusively for members: win tickets to a very special one-off day in London in the company of the famed endurance athlete, cyclist and adventurer.

Here is an unforgettable experience for Possibilities members: an opportunity to meet British sporting icon, world record-breaking adventurer, cycling supremo and endurance athlete Mark Beaumont at this unique event, which includes a champagne reception and afternoon tea.

Winners of this unique ballot will be lucky enough not just to meet a bona fide global sporting collosus in the flesh, but you will also have rare access to the magnificent Royal Geographical Society in Kensington, London, which provides the historic and stunning setting for this exclusive members-only day.

Each of you lucky ticket-winning guests will receive a free copy of Mark’s latest book “Around the World in 80 Days: My World Record Breaking Adventure”, and you will also will be able to quiz Mark about his incredible worldwide adventures after his talk. But that's not all: your copy of his book will be personally signed by the man himself.

Members will be greeted with a glass of champagne on arrival, and then afternoon tea in the ornate 1930s Map Room, which is decorated with portraits of explorers and a 17th century Chinese map of the world.

Mark's amazing story

In a presentation which will include extensive photography and films in the comfort of the Royal Geographical Society's wheelchair-accessible Ondaatje Theatre, Mark will talk about his world-recording breaking cycle around the world.

Mark cycled approximately 240 miles a day on his epic journey, which was inspired by the Jules Verne story "Around the World in Eighty Days". He completed his 18,000-mile odyssey one day ahead of schedule on 18 September 2017, in a total time of 78 days, 14 hours and 40 minutes - beating the previous world record by more than 40 days.

But that's not the limit of Mark's exploits on two wheels. In June this year he broke the GB record for the one-hour Penny Farthing challenge. This achievement involved riding a Penny Farthing on a track non-stop for one hour. See for yourself here as Mark Beaumont breaks the Penny Farthing record.
