21 May 2020
It's the perfect time to think about the things that make you happy – CEWE shows you how bring together your favourite moments in a CEWE PHOTOBOOK
Get creative and learn a new skill
Even when things feel uncertain, there are plenty of ways to add a moment of happiness to our day. From photographs through to treasured memories and beloved stories we love to tell, why not reflect on what brings you pleasure?
CEWE conducted a survey to delve into the science behind our photographs, and why they bring us so much joy. With 56% of respondents sharing that they feel happy when looking at photos and 31% of people find looking at photos relaxing, it’s safe to say that our memories mean a lot to us.
However, only 6% of us print our photographs – which means a considerable amount of memories are kept out of sight and out of mind. With looking at photos proven to make us relax, what better reason do you need to create your very own CEWE PHOTOBOOK?
If you’ve found yourself with a bit more time on your hands, why not spend an afternoon getting creative and learning a new skill? We’ve put together a step-by-step guide to show you how to create your very own CEWE PHOTOBOOK, featuring all of your special memories and favourite photos.
To get started, head over to cewe-photoworld.com and download the CEWE Creator Software. Don’t worry – it’s free to download, easy to install and very intuitive so you’ll have no problem getting started.
5 steps to creating your CEWE PHOTOBOOK
1 Once you’ve opened the CEWE Creator Software, you’ll need to select the type of photo book you would like to create from the nine available options. Next, choose which paper type you’d like your book to have. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be taken through to the CEWE Creator Software.
Top tip To change the size, the cover or paper type of your book once you’ve started making it, click on the grey button at the bottom right of the page. To see a bigger, higher resolution preview of your book, click on the preview button to look at your design so far.
2 Select ‘Create without assistant’ on the right-hand side and then you’re ready to start designing your photo book. To add photos to your book, begin by selecting a folder from your computer under ‘Photo Sources’ or by connecting to one of your social media accounts. Simply drag and drop an image onto the page to add it to the book.
Top tip If you’d like to resize a photo, simply click the image, then drag the box from the corners to make it smaller or bigger.
3 You can change the layout of the photos on your page – every page can be different if that is what you would like! You have the choice to use one of the pre-made layouts (which you’ll find under ‘Layouts’ on the left-hand side) or to create your own custom layout. The pre-made layouts are organised by style and number of images per page, and once you’ve found one you like, simply drag and drop it onto the page. Then, just click on the 'photos and videos' tab to begin adding your photos.
Top tip To fill a white page with an image, you can use a photo as a page background. Simply right click on your chosen photo and select the ‘Image as background’ option. You can then choose whether the image should appear as a background on the left or right-hand pages – or both.
4 Once you’re happy with your photo book, click ‘Add to basket’ and choose whether you’d like to save your book before ordering or simply want to add it to your basket. It's best to save your photo book to your hard drive under a memorable name just in case you want to edit your book later or order another copy.
5 And there you have it – you’ve made your first CEWE PHOTOBOOK!
Your memories, your photos, your CEWE PHOTOBOOK
Whether you're documenting a holiday you’ve previously enjoyed together, collating photos of the children throughout the years or want to let someone know just how much they mean to you, a CEWE PHOTOBOOK allows you to capture the smiles from yesterday and remember them today.
