Enhanced maternity and paternity support for colleagues

Supporting our colleagues through life events is really important to us, and we have made some changes to our policies which will allow Saga to do this better.

Firstly, our maternity and paternity policies have been improved. Colleagues taking maternity leave will now receive 12 weeks of full pay followed by 14 weeks of half pay and 13 weeks of Statutory Maternity Pay. The arrival of a premature baby will also be supported through extended paid leave, and we have doubled our paternity leave to four weeks at full pay. These changes are also reflected in our Adoption Policy.

We have also removed all eligibility criteria from our family policies, allowing all colleagues to access them.

Supporting our colleagues through life events also means supporting them at difficult times and we have introduced two weeks of paid leave to support colleagues through a pregnancy loss. This is open to all colleagues regardless of the nature of the loss and irrespective of their length of service.
