About membership

What are the benefits of membership?

Possibilities is our exclusive membership programme for Saga customers.  Benefits include VIP experiences, ticket ballots, discounts on tickets and events, and great offers from carefully selected partners.  It's completely free to join. Think of it as our way of saying thank you for choosing Saga.

How do I become a member?

You can join Possibilities on this website. It's quick, free and easy. You'll need to create an online account, or sign in if you have one already, so that we can verify you're eligible. You'll just need to complete a few details so that we can confirm your membership. You can check if you are eligible here. As soon as you have joined, we'll send you a welcome email, with a free gift and some tempting offers to get you started.

What happens when I join?

When you have joined, whether online, or by phone, we perform a quick check to match your details to products you have bought, or booked to verify that you are eligible. As soon as this is complete, we'll send your Welcome Pack via email (or post if you requested this through our contact centre). Emails should be received within a couple of hours, for packs sent by post you should allow 14 days for delivery, though we aim for it to be much less than this.

And that's it, you can start enjoying the benefits of membership. Your Welcome Pack will include a free gift and some introductory offers and treats to get you started. You can find details of all the latest offers, events and exclusive content on this website.

How long does membership last?

Possibilities membership lasts for as long as you remain eligible. So, if your eligibility is based on a travel booking, this will be up to three years from the date of the booking. For insurance, you will be eligible for as long as you remain insured with us, for Saga Money products, you will be eligible for as long as you have the product with us, subject to certain conditions, such as maintaining a balance for bank accounts, and for Saga magazine, as long as you have an active subscription.

I have joined but haven't yet received my welcome pack, can you resend it?

If you joined online and your welcome pack is being sent by email, you should receive it within a couple of hours, however please allow 24 hours before calling if it doesn't arrive. Please also check your junk/spam mail folder in case it has been filtered by your email provider. If, after this time, you have still not received it, please call us on 0800 092 3903 and we will resend the email.

If your welcome pack is being sent in the post, please allow up to 14 days for delivery, as we cannot guarantee delivery dates. However, if it has been more than 14 days, please call us on 0800 092 3903.

I have accidentally deleted my welcome pack email; can you resend it?

If you can't retrieve the email from your deleted items, please call us on 0800 092 3903 and we'll get this sorted for you.

How long are the vouchers in my welcome pack valid for?

Each voucher in your welcome pack will have its own expiry date, this has been provided by the Saga partner providing the offer. Please read each voucher for full terms, conditions and expiry dates of the offer.

Do I have to be a member to buy tickets or redeem offers on this website?

Yes, Possibilities is our exclusive membership programme for Saga customers, and the offers available on this website are for members only. If you would like to join, you can check your eligibility and join online.






Eligibility, joining and cancellation

How can I find out if I am eligible to join?

To be eligible to join, you simply need to have an ongoing product with us, such as home or car insurance, or have bought or booked something with us recently.

You can become a member if you have:

  • Taken a one-off policy with us in the last year, such as single trip travel insurance
  • A current, ongoing annual insurance policy with us, such as car, home, annual travel or health
  • Taken out a personal finance product with us in the last 12 months, such as an ISA, credit card or savings account, or have an ongoing and active financial product with us
  • Booked a Saga holiday or cruise directly with us in the past three years 
  • An active subscription to the Saga magazine
  • Aged 50 years or over
  • A UK resident

When does my membership start?

When you join, whether online or by phone, we perform a quick check to match your details to products you have bought, or booked to verify that you are eligible. This doesn't take long, and your membership is usually up and running within 24 hours, for online applications, this should happen straightaway and you will see an on-screen confirmation. As soon as your membership is confirmed, we'll send your welcome pack and you can start enjoying all the benefits.

What happens if I cancel my insurance, will I still be a member?

Cancelling your insurance may mean that you are no longer eligible for Saga membership.  If this insurance is the only product you have from Saga, then when your policy ends, or is cancelled, unfortunately your membership will also be cancelled. If you have other active Saga products, or have bought a holiday or cruise with us in the past three years, you may still be eligible and your membership will remain active.

How do I cancel my membership?

If you no longer want to be a Possibilities member, just give us a call on 0800 092 3903 and we can cancel your membership for you.






Member offers and events

I've booked tickets for an event through Possibilities, when will I receive them?

Any tickets for events booked through Possibilities will be sent directly from the Saga partner offering the tickets. When you book, you should receive an email with information about expected delivery, or a link to print tickets directly in some instances. Your booking confirmation should also have details about how to make contact about your order.

I bought an item on offer, when will I receive it?

Items bought through the offers section of the Possibilities website, are fulfilled by Saga partners. When you buy through your membership, you are directed to one of our partners to complete your purchase, and you should receive an order confirmation directly from them. Please check your email for your order details, as this should have information about delivery and/or contact information to get in touch if you don't receive it in the estimated time.

How often are events and offers updated?

We add new events and offers on a regular basis. Some may be valid for a limited time and on a 'when it's gone, it's gone' basis. Please check the Saga website for new offers and valid to and from information.

If you have opted to receive marketing communications from Possibilities, we will update you when there are new offers available. 

Can I buy tickets for someone else?

There will be events where you can buy additional tickets to take guests. However, some are exclusively for Possibilities members, so please check the individual event offer conditions before you buy.

Also, tickets can only be sent to the address we have registered for you, so if you do plan to buy tickets for someone else, please be sure you will be able to get the tickets to them in time, we would hate for anyone to miss out.

I’m not interested in the offers and vouchers in my welcome pack. Can I give them to a friend or family member instead?

It's a shame there isn't something to take your fancy in your welcome pack and we would hate for them to go to waste. However, the terms and conditions of each voucher are provided by the Saga partner that is providing the offer, so you would need to check the individual voucher or offer terms to see if they can be redeemed by someone else.


Members voice polls and surveys

If I take part in a survey, will I be signing up to do more?

We'd love to hear your feedback through our polls and surveys, as this is how we will shape the future of Possibilities to make it really useful and relevant to our members. These surveys are completely voluntary, you can complete one, or complete them all. Its entirely up to you, and there's no commitment. That said, it's the best way for us to know how you feel about Possibilities, so we'd love you to complete more, but it's not mandatory.

Do I have to take part in the polls and surveys in Member's Voice?

In short, no. They are not compulsory. However, they are a great way for you to tell us more about what you enjoy and what you like and dislike about Possibilities, so that we can continue to grow and offer more of what our customers want. So, we would love you to take part if you have the time.

Will my answers be shared with any third parties?

None of the information you provide when you complete a survey is shared with any other parties. We only collect the answers you provide, not any of your personal data, and the answers are used only by Saga to gain insight into what our members want. We won't use the information for anything other than continuing to develop Possibilities to be useful and relevant to our members.
